Our inventive flavors offer a modern twist on the traditional. We bake all of our cakes with quality ingredients and finish them off with Italian meringue buttercream, which has a lower sugar content making it silky smooth and less sweet than other buttercreams.

A tropical coconut cake, filled with passionfruit filling, layered with vanilla meringue buttercream, and topped with shredded coconut.
A fun-filled confetti cake, layered with vanilla meringue buttercream, and topped with rainbow sprinkles.

We have a number of flavors that do not contain nuts; however, please keep in mind that we do operate in a facility that processes nuts. We do not yet offer gluten-free or vegan options at this time.

Cake Inscriptions & Toppers
We’re happy to personalize any of our Signature Cakes with a complimentary inscription on the top of the cake. Unfortunately, inscriptions are not available on our Mini Cakes due to their size. We also sell cake toppers and candles to add extra sparkle to birthday cakes. Any customizations beyond these options will require the purchase of a Custom Design Cake. Please start the inquiry process no later than 2-3 weeks before your event date.
When to Order
We recommend ordering your cake as soon as you’ve confirmed the date for your event. Since we’re a made-to-order bakery, we may occasionally book up, especially around popular dates or holidays.
We require orders to be placed a full two days before your desired date. Our online ordering system will show you the next available dates for orders. If you aren't seeing availability on a date you want, unfortunately that means we're fully booked for that day.
For Custom Design Cakes, please start the inquiry process at least 2-3 weeks before your event date.
Pick-up and Delivery
We now offer local pick-up at our bakery kitchen at 1430 23rd Avenue, Oakland. You may pick up orders during the following times:
- Wednesday-Friday: 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
- Saturday-Sunday: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Full Belly Bakery is not responsible for damage to the cake after you pick it up from our Oakland kitchen, so please plan carefully for how you will secure the cake in your vehicle.
We also offer delivery throughout the East Bay. For orders purchased through our online store, delivery prices range based on the distance from our Oakland bakery.

You can select your desired date and time when you checkout. Deliveries are available during the following times:
- Wednesday-Friday: 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
- Saturday-Sunday: 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Order Changes & Cancellations
For orders placed through our online store, you can cancel your order or reschedule up to 72 hours before your confirmed pick-up or delivery date.
For Custom Design Cakes, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to hold the event date, with the remaining balance due 14 days prior to the event. You may cancel or reschedule up to 14 days prior to the event date. If you cancel within 14 days of the event, we will not be able to provide a refund.
Why can’t I select my desired delivery date at checkout?
We are open Wednesday-Sunday, and we require orders be placed a full two days before your desired date. Our online ordering system will show you the next available dates for orders. If you are trying to order more than two days out and aren’t seeing availability on a date you want, unfortunately that means we're fully booked for that day.
Can I get a cake tomorrow?
You can’t hurry great cake! We require orders be placed a full two days before your desired date. This allows our small team time to prepare all the cake, fillings and buttercream from scratch. We hope you’ll consider coming back when you’re able to order a few days in advance.
What is your delivery radius?
We deliver throughout the East Bay within a 20-mile radius of our Oakland bakery. Currently that means we deliver orders as far north as El Sobrante and Hercules, as far east as Walnut Creek and Alamo, and as far south as Hayward and Castro Valley.
How do I order a Custom Design Cake?
To get started, fill out our Custom Design Cake inquiry form
. We’ll be back in touch in 24-48 hours via email to discuss your design. We’ll send you a cost estimate and invoice for your deposit. Once you’ve paid your deposit, we’ll confirm you on our calendar and get to work on the design for your amazing cake. The remaining balance will be due 14 days prior to the event. Our availability is not guaranteed until an order has been confirmed via email and payment received.
I didn’t receive a confirmation email or text. How can I find out if my order was received?
You should have received an email from the bakery via Shopify (our online store platform) when you place your order. It will include what you ordered, as well as your requested delivery or pick-up time. Please check your spam filter to ensure it didn’t accidentally get misdirected. and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
